The Histozon Chrome extension is designed to be privacy-first. We collect:
We do NOT collect: your email, your name, your IP address (we hash it server-side at collection), your browsing history outside Amazon product pages, or any data from non-Amazon websites.
The Histozon website uses no third-party tracking cookies. The Chrome extension uses only chrome.storage.local (browser-local storage, never sent to us) for your settings (preferred currency, deal threshold).
When you click "Buy" via the Euro Saver widget or any link in the extension, we append our Amazon Associates tag (the-price-tracker-21) to the URL. If you complete a purchase, Amazon pays us a commission (3-10% of the order, depending on category). The price you pay is identical — no markup. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
Even though we don't collect personal data, EU residents have the right to access, rectify, or delete any data we may hold. Email contact@histozon.com with your device ID (visible in extension settings) and we'll respond within 30 days.
Aggregated price data (anonymous, by ASIN/marketplace) is kept indefinitely to build price history. Your local watchlist is kept until you uninstall the extension or clear it from settings.
